{"id":11,"date":"2005-04-08T14:20:59","date_gmt":"2005-04-08T22:20:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hamsterrepublic.com\/james\/?p=11"},"modified":"2007-10-11T15:37:49","modified_gmt":"2007-10-11T22:37:49","slug":"dino-bungee-national-monument","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/james.hamsterrepublic.com\/?p=11","title":{"rendered":"Dino-Bungee National Monument"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Current mood: Dusty<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gilgamesh.hamsterrepublic.com\/albums\/Sketch\/sam_and_max_dino_bungee.gif\" style=\"margin: 1em; clear: left; float: left\" \/><br \/>\nThis weekend I will be unable to post any blog entries, because i am leaving on vacation to go to <strong>Dino-Bungee National Monument<\/strong>, where I will bask in patriotic awe of the awe-inspiringly awesome megasculptural monolith that is Mount Rushmore, after which I shall <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bungee_jumping\">bungee-jump<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Abraham_Lincoln\">Lincoln<\/a>&#8216;s nose. Originally I was planning on jumping from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Washington\">Washington<\/a>&#8216;s nose, but then I read in the brocure that the decent takes you just three and a half feet from his strong jutting chin, so you must jump with absolute precision to avoid simultaneously killing yourself and defacing a national treasure.
